"Everyone who went before me is an influence for me and everyone who comes after is influenced by me. I just saw the Vanity Fair cover of her and she can be really beautiful and serene when she wants to be. It’s great that she’s doing all these things and expressing herself. People have been really down on her but she’s an artist – art is supposed to make people think and talk and you don’t have to like it, it’s none of your business."
